Matunuck Oyster Farm

The Dedication of Oyster Farming

The Dedication of Oyster Farming 1920 1279 Matunuck Hospitality Group
A story rooted in craft

Nestled along pristine coastal waters of Potters Pond, our oyster farm is dedicated to growing some of the freshest, most sustainably raised oysters available. We follow time-honored aquaculture practices that work with the tides, nurturing each oyster from seed to harvest in a clean and carefully managed marine environment.

Our team believes exceptional oysters begin with respect for the ecosystem. That’s why we focus on low-impact farming methods that enhance water quality, support marine biodiversity, and preserve the shoreline for generations to come. Every oyster we harvest reflects this commitment — briny, clean, and shaped by the natural rhythm of the sea.

From our local restaurant tables to seafood lovers near and far, our oysters are enjoyed for their distinct flavor and remarkable freshness. Whether you’re savoring them raw, roasted, or cooked over an open flame, you’re tasting the result of patience, stewardship, and a deep passion for coastal farming.

Come discover the story behind every shell — a story rooted in craft, sustainability, and the rich traditions of life on the water.

At Matunuck Oyster Bar, we are committed to providing the freshest food available, using locally sourced produce along with farm-raised and wild-caught seafood. Our signature raw bar is fully stocked with a variety of Rhode Island oysters, crisp cherrystones, littleneck clams, and jumbo shrimp. Our very own Matunuck Oysters are grown in Potter Pond, right off our waterfront patio. In addition, many of the herbs and vegetables found in our delectable meals are grown on our organic vegetable farm on the north end of Potter Pond.
